Doctors have mostly stopped making house calls, but jewelers should probably give them some thought. “People tend to part with their possessions a lot easier in the comfort of their own home,” one jeweler told us, adding it had been extremely profitable for them. “There is a jewel in every junk pile. Some pieces are plain gold bands, others could be vintage Cartier or Van Cleef pieces. You just never know what you can find.”
