(PRESS RELEASE)EVANSVILLE, IN — After two decades of serving the Evansville community, Bob and Mary McCarty will be retiring. To celebrate their shining legacy and usher in a new chapter of life together, they will be holding a huge Retirement Sale starting February 10th. During this event, you can save up to 75% off their entire selection of beautiful diamond engagement rings, wedding bands, pendants, bracelets, earrings and more.

In 2003, after years of working his way through the different facets of the jewelry business, Bob opened up his first store. But, not before he hustled his way into the industry. He began working with jewelry when he took a job at Goldman’s Pawn Shop. There, he learned the ins and outs of business from the store’s family. As he worked in the shop, Bob’s passion and love for jewelry only grew. Before long, he became an expert on vintage and antique pieces, and earned his GIA certification.

After learning all he could from the Goldman family, Bob took the leap into ownership and opened the first storefront for McCarty’s Diamonds and Fine Jewelry. Along with his wife, Bob ran the tiny 600 square foot shop, specializing in everything from custom jewelry to buying and reselling timeless treasures. By the third year in business, the couple had outgrown their first, small location and settled into a larger, unique showroom where they still remain.

Throughout the years, Bob and Mary both poured their passion into the jewelry store, making it a community staple. As the fifth generation of customers knocks on their door, they are continuously reminded how special Evansville is. Of all the wonderful things jewelry has brought Bob and Mary, the friendships they’ve made with each and every visitor is something they’ll cherish forever.

During the final weeks of McCarty’s Diamonds and Fine Jewelry, visit Bob and Mary to send them off into retirement with well wishes. Stop in to share your stories and shop from an endless selection of fine jewelry, all up to 75% off.

Time for More “Me Time”? Time to Call Wilkerson

Rick White, owner of White’s & Co. Jewelry in Rogers, Ark., knew it was time to retire. Since the age of 18, jewelry had been his life. Now it was time to get that “me time” every retailer dreams about. So, he chose Wilkerson to manage his going-out-of-business sale. White says he’d done plenty of sales on his own, but this was different. “Wilkerson has been a very, very good experience. I’ve had the best salespeople in the history of jewelry,” he says. “I recommend Wilkerson because they are really the icon of the jewelry business and going-out-of-business sales. They’ve been doing it for decades. I just think they’re the best.”
