H.E.R. SHOWED UP at the 2023 iHeart Radio Music Awards in vibrant royal blue fashion (even matching her sunglasses to the clothes). What she didn’t match were her jewels. Instead, she mixed colors, shapes and metals with an offhanded nonchalance that worked well for the singer/songwriter.

She wore a combination of Melissa Kaye’s modern diamond rings in 18K pink and yellow gold as well as one of the designer’s neon enamel, 18K gold and diamond rings. She could have stopped there, but H.E.R. proved that there are no rules when it comes to wearing contemporary designers with vintage jewelry. Her neck was draped in Briony Raymond Estate vintage sterling silver and paste necklace (faux diamonds that these days cost almost as much as diamonds). Layered with the paste necklace, she wore a Briony Raymond Estate vintage 18K white gold with diamonds-by-the-yard style necklace. She then added Raymond’s contemporary designs to her ring story with an 18K white gold and diamond Cyclone ring featuring swirling rows of hand inlaid round brilliant diamonds graduating in size with slightly domed “bombé” style volume and her 18K white gold and Sloane Scatter ring of different size diamonds in burnished settings all around the comfort fit ring’s surface.

Although these were a mishmash of shapes, silhouettes and colors of gold, it all seamlessly fit with the outfit and the star’s ability to wear a smattering of different looks  of jewels and imbue them with her own individual style.

Time for More “Me Time”? Time to Call Wilkerson

Rick White, owner of White’s & Co. Jewelry in Rogers, Ark., knew it was time to retire. Since the age of 18, jewelry had been his life. Now it was time to get that “me time” every retailer dreams about. So, he chose Wilkerson to manage his going-out-of-business sale. White says he’d done plenty of sales on his own, but this was different. “Wilkerson has been a very, very good experience. I’ve had the best salespeople in the history of jewelry,” he says. “I recommend Wilkerson because they are really the icon of the jewelry business and going-out-of-business sales. They’ve been doing it for decades. I just think they’re the best.”
