The sighting: Actress Allison Williams recently attended the New York premiere of her movie M3GAN, a thriller that looks like it could haunt my nightmares for the rest of my life. Williams’ jewelry for the evening, however, was anything but terrifying.

The jewels: Allison Williams is wearing all Fred Leighton jewels, a mix of antique and contemporary pieces.

Her earrings and bracelets are the new pieces, from the Signed by Fred Leighton line. The earrings feature cushion-cut kunzites in silver-topped gold collet settings, while the bracelets are a stack of similar collet settings with citrine, blue topaz, amethyst, and colorless topaz.

The rings are vintage and antique, all from Fred Leighton’s world-class collection: one 18K yellow gold snake ring, one Georgian-era foil-backed citrine and diamond cluster ring, and one fancy color diamond ring.

The trends: I don’t know if you know this, but well-executed collet settings are absolute catnip to antique jewelry enthusiasts. Fred Leighton nails this contemporary incarnation of one of the Georgian era’s most coveted trends (coveted both then and now).

Besides that, these bracelets are a colorful, interesting take on one of the hottest trends of recent years: they’re basically extremely luxurious and extra fashionable tennis bracelets.

What do we think? I maybe would have gone with a necklace for that neckline…but I absolutely adore all of the jewelry that is present. I’m one of those antique jewelry enthusiasts who adores collet settings and I think that the Signed by Fred Leighton pieces absolutely nail everything that I appreciate about that aesthetic. I also love that the bracelets are stacked in vibrant colors, instead of neutrals.

As for the rings? Pure perfection. There isn’t one there that I wouldn’t happily own. That’s actually true of every piece in this look. Fantastic work as always, Fred Leighton team.

Judgement: 14/10

Time for More “Me Time”? Time to Call Wilkerson

Rick White, owner of White’s & Co. Jewelry in Rogers, Ark., knew it was time to retire. Since the age of 18, jewelry had been his life. Now it was time to get that “me time” every retailer dreams about. So, he chose Wilkerson to manage his going-out-of-business sale. White says he’d done plenty of sales on his own, but this was different. “Wilkerson has been a very, very good experience. I’ve had the best salespeople in the history of jewelry,” he says. “I recommend Wilkerson because they are really the icon of the jewelry business and going-out-of-business sales. They’ve been doing it for decades. I just think they’re the best.”
